When I opened my first salon in 1995, I had a vision of creating a dynamic salon. I wanted to put together a team of like-minded individuals who were passionate about what they did, wanted to have fun doing it, and wanted to make a lot of money. This team would be committed to education and set the bar as to what it means to be a career professional in our industry.
I feel a huge sense of pride and accomplishment knowing that my vision came to fruition. I attribute my success and the success of my salon to one philosophy: if you help enough people reach success, you will surely be successful. This has driven my leadership style my whole life. I am committed to positively impacting the beauty industry. I know that each and every person has complete control of their future and their destiny. And that all things are possible.
I know this to be true because I did it. I will always be grateful to my mother, who introduced me to this industry, and my grandma, who lent me the money to start cosmetology school.
